My father is a Roman Catholic and my mother a Southern Baptist. I know quite a bit about what the Bible says and what it doesn’t. What I abject too is the fear that you can’t let your kids think for themselves in case they decide not to be like you. If you raised them right, you shouldn’t have that fear.

Agreed. We need to respect the free will of everyone and it's up to parents to raise their kids.

I was just observing that not all Christians hold the same views as, "If it ain't exactly as it is in the Bible, burn it." evangelicals (the more radical ones, anyways).
