I remember the republicans liked dressing themselves up as the party of family values. Now they dropped the charade and openly wallow in the as long as I get mine mentality.

And those they indoctrinated to hate the government keep convincing them to vote for them to go to Washington to make sure it doesn’t.

The point is to convert living things into money.

We survived by helping each other so they would later help us

Depends. If you, like me, value the individual over society, then you are prepared to sacrifice some societal efficiency to ensure every individual can live freely and however they choose (within reason).

If you value society over the individual, then you are prepared to sacrifice individual wants and freedoms for societal efficiency.

Take your pick. I for one feel society exists to serve the individual.
