I support no mandatory vaccines and the notion that we shouldn't needlessly fear a disease we know we can beat, at least.

We can beat it because of . . . the vaccines.

It's sad when we need to resort to Capt. Obvious.

Correct, but we shouldn't force them upon people.

It's not like having both is impossible.

Who (in the US) is being forcibly vaccinated?
By the same token, all those people who are choosing not to get vaccinated owe it to society to stay out of movie theaters and other public indoor spaces.

No one is nor did I claim otherwise.

No, getting vaccinated only protects yourself...you can still transmit diseases while fully vaccinated. if people want to protect themselves wholly, they owe it to themselves to get vaccinated or stay out of indoor public areas.

Nothing is perfect, but according to the CDC:

"A growing body of evidence indicates that people fully vaccinated with an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) are less likely to have asymptomatic infection or to transmit SARS-CoV-2 to others."

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/science/science-briefs/fully-vaccinated-people.html

So, it doesn't only protect you. You still shouldn't run down the street tongue-kissing strangers, but you ARE protecting them (even if only 80 or 85%) by getting vaccinated.

Well of course they're not going to be infected if they're vaccinated, and of course you're less likely to spread it if the virus isn't replicating within your body.

However, no vaccine can stop you from simply breathing it in, or touching something, and then breathing on/touching another stranger. Only basic hygiene can do that.

I'm perfectly happy wearing a mask if people want, but there ain't no way I'm going to be suckered into getting the shot earlier than I want.
