It's much more common than ppl think

I was sexually harassed at school, the teacher didn't give a f**k, and I had to apologize for calling that creep a baboon. (the student, not my teacher)
The same guy has almost raped my friend during a recess, all clothes on but STILL.
One day I and my friend walked outside, and he started following us around.
Then he randomly walks so close to me that we only have a distance of a few centimeters, and then asks "dO yOu LoVe Me???"

I hang out with the kids of my neighbours sometimes (they're all male), mostly on summer break. I remember we went on a train that day, and a bunch of people got on, including some girls with tops that showed off their boobs. My friend elbowed my other friend, and started giggling. Like the girls couldnt clearly see how they were reacting.
They were pointing out their bodies, and everything. And it makes me massively uncomfortable to think that, if we weren't friends, would you objectify me in the same way?
It also reminds me of when they were discussing their previous girlfriends, and the guy who i had a crush on (at the time), started talking about his previous girlfriend's butts, and how they were super flat. Well excuse you, how do you expect an 11 year old girl's butt to be!?
Basically filled with misogyny

I was raised in a Christian family with women who proudly proclaimed that they were "submitted" to men. When I see the popularity of books like The Twilight Saga or 50 Shades of Gray; movies like Swept Away or Overboard; songs like Maybe I Mean Yes or Nothing Compares 2 U; yeah it's everywhere.
