Idk, The Good Revolutionary? I thought that Andor's character had a lot of room for examination in Rogue One. He's clearly on the side of the angels, but also clearly does terrible things in order to get his missions done. That makes him a mirror image of the clones who have supported the existing power structure but refuse to let it make them do evil.

I get he talked about being in the fight since he was 6 years old, but what does it matter if we already know how both his story and his arc end?

Wait . . . by that argument all that Anakin in the prequels was meaningless, because we already knew how his story and arc ended. (This stream would lose its collective mind if you made that argument -- I'm almost tempted to encourage you.)

True, but 1-6 were all one big story. The prequels weren’t a spin-off of already dead characters. Those were main installments.

Okay . . . then how about the Clone Wars series. Most of that series' characters were dead in canon, but their stories are not meaningless because of that.

Or, you know, all of Greek Drama. No one went to see Sophocles' Oedipus cycle expecting the poor guy to survive.

I didn’t watch clone wars because I didn’t want to. I don’t really care for the show because the prequels can already stand on their own. Sorry, but I do call that show pointless.

Clone Wars!Anakin is the only thing that makes Prequels!Anakin logical.

Both Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith show Anakin becoming increasingly dangerous, angry, and fearful, eventually falling to the dark side.

I don’t need to watch clone wars to find the exact same thing. I’m sure the show’s really awesome, don’t get me wrong. I heard it’s good.

Within the limits of those to movies, however, his psychological 180 happens in a series of large, not very credible jumps. The series provides the context that makes those jumps work.

Like believing he is ready for the trials and theorizing that Obi Wan is holding him back? He believes that he is a great Jedi, and the fact that he basically won every battle in the Phantom Menace factors into the hubris he as.

Like killing Count Dooku, who cut off his arm in the previous movie?

Like when he massacres a whole village of sand people for killing his mother whom he promised to come back for? And then admitting it to Padme?
