I think the key when discussing this is to not let tolerance and intolerance be stand alone words.

I am tolerant of opposing ideas
I am tolerant of sexual preferences I don't share
I am intolerant of liars
I am intolerant of victim shaming

Yes, but those qualities are individual qualities, not the practice of an entire group, such as with white Supremacists, nazis, proud boys, III%ers, etc.

A group is made up of individuals, though I am also intolerant of groups whose stated purpose is intolerance based on peoples race or sexuality.

Being intolerant to Nazis isn’t a slippery slope to 1984. *Tolerating* them is the end of a slippery slope. | “DOES NOT DENOTE THE END OF TOLERANCE JUST WHERE IT STOPS.” | image tagged in when x just right | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
