I've been joking about this with people, how actual real genuine racist comments that were as intended as such slide by because they're 'based on truth' therefore are 'not' TOS violations, yet "Mayo" - which is about offensive as calling someone a "boogerhead" - is burning cross level TOS violation.

The only thing some may argue that is offensive about Mayo is as a condiment.

While there's a couple of icky stories I will spare the readersip the details of that might make me pause requesting it for a sec, I find it essential with a Ham & Cheese, and have even recently tried it on French Fries like they do in Belgium or one of those countries. Twice.

Full disclosure: A few months ago a certain 'associate' of mine did flip it on one using it as a slight by telling him he suffered from "Mayo envy." A laugh was had by all and no irreparable damage was suffered by any.

That being said, anyone who gets butthurt by being called "Mayo" SHOULD get butthurt and repeatedly till they grow a pair of nads and develop a spine of less gelatinous material.

The irony, people telling those referred to by a racial slur for centuries as if it was their proper name to get over it while they get all offended about some new buzzword that some smart aleck 2nd grader came up with a couple of months ago.

Reminds me of my childhood, witnessing big mouths running inside crying to mommy (two occasions come to my mind) when they were called some bad names one day yet that was all they did themselves constantly along with the rest of the gang and for the sake of cajoling.

Not saying you're the one that did it, but seeing as you're a mod on this stream and commented on this meme including to him, I was wondering why Syd's comments were all deleted.

Granted, he may not lean too in line with other's here, but as indicated by my replies to him, nothing was confrontational in a harsh way, was more like banter (from my perspective).

Not having a go at you, but I find it kind of ironic given the subject of the OP meme being about censorship of a goofy comment.

Even in the earlier comments that troll acknowledged that the comments were going too far & would inevitably be deleted. After you stopped replying, the posts escalated into profanity, hate speech, & offensive images.

As I banter with him often and tend to get knee deep in the general ruckus that's the regular Politics stream, I'm used to it. In fact, I've toned it down myself some lately.

To claim the latest in insultz, "Mayo," is hurtful while entire people having been openly called derogatory terms as their names for centuries as part of the most brutal oppression (as in including lynchings) is so beyond hypocritical, I can feel the very fabric of space/time bending as I engage in this discussion about faux outrage.
