So how does your comparison make any sense? Also, in countries with gun control laws, they are universal. And the firearm death rates are no where near that of the US.

Yet, their knife murders and blunt weapon murders are much higher.

It’s almost as if when criminals can’t find a gun, they find a different weapon to commit crime with.

How many mass murders have been committed in these countries with a knife? It's almost as if you're forgetting that the U.S. had 39,682 firearm deaths in 2019 compared to the United Kingdom's 107, Australia's 229, Canada's 695, Germany's 815.

Also, please use countries that have similar populations. Australia has just over 25M people whereas the US has just over 328M people.

Higher populations lead to more interactions, which means more chances of negative interactions, which leads to more violent interactions, which results in more homicides.
