I get what you're saying. But my thought is that battling through memes and choosing sides is really not going to change anyone's minds, but will only make divisions deeper. I'm struggling with the idea that "they can't get away with that" also. The question is, have they really committed a crime, or have they simply wounded my pride? This is in regard to memes and social media only though. In real life trust is earned and you can be kind and leery at the same time.

I agree with you, though in some cases "they can't get away with that" is a perfectly fine feeling to have. For example, police brutality. You're one of the most open people of your political ideas that I've seen, though. Honestly, it's really nice seeing someone with somewhat of a moral code online.
