And no I don't. If you pay attention to all the laws they make, you will see I am right.

You’re wrong. The rich pay a higher tax rate than the poor. You hear about all these companies that “don’t pay any taxes”. But that’s because they take advantage of all the credits and deductions available. You and I could so the same thing and “not pay any taxes” or pay less taxes. But they’re not pocketing tax money like our misleading press suggests.

If the feds want us to all pay our fair share they should have a flat tax rate where everyone pays the same percentage of their income and not have any deductions or credits. Of course they’ll never do that because it would eliminate their ability to influence what we do with our money.

You do know that our tax money is paying for the wellfare queens and the old farts medicare and social security, right? And I'm talking about people like "dr." Fauci, Bill Gates, Bernie Sanders, and Jeff Beasose. They don't pay the same kind of taxes we do. They pay the rich peoples tax, aka, no tax.

Go to school and take a class on economics before you embarrass yourself more.

Hopeless? You mean I know more about economics than you so you’ve given up trying to convince me with your pre-adult experience in wealth.
I say this because you don’t even know that Medicare and SS are paid separately from income tax and that people like Fauci, Gates, Sanders and Beasose pay it. Those aren’t literal taxes. If you actually had a job, and weren’t exempt from paying because you’re dependent on your parents, you’d know this. That why I’m saying, take a class in economics because you don’t know what you’re talking about and you’re making a fool of yourself on social media 😂

I think we should just agree to disagree

Sorry but I can’t agree to your ignorant view of our tax system.

Just ask one of them if they will give up their millions to help those who actually need it, I bet you dollars to doughnuts, they will say they will, but they never actually will.

Deflecting away from the debate, eh? I’ll take that as admitting you’re wrong. So, let’s move on to your new argument.

Are you willing to give up your money to someone who needs it more than you do? If not, you’re a hypocrit.

I didn't say all of it. But let's pretend you have 40 million dollars. And let's also say you are 65. Could you spend it all, or would you use it to help people who are working 4 jobs and barely making ends meet. If it were me, I would. Nobody needs half as much money as they have.

When you say “give up their millions”, how much are you saying they should be allowed to keep? Are you saying anyone with $2 million or more should be forced to give to those who don’t?

You’re assuming the person has $40 million in liquid assets and doesn’t plan to leave any to posterity. They probably made sacrifices to get that rich, staring out working 4 jobs, barely making ends meet but got out of it by saving up, investing, doing without non essentials, etc. Now, how do you know the poor person barely making ends meet isn’t in that situation because they squander their money on non necessities, gambling, drugs, etc?

Shouldn’t the rich be able to decide who they give money to? The government shouldn’t decide who has more money than they need and who needs it more, playing Robin Hood.

Who are you to decide who doesn’t need half as much money as they have?

I never said the had to give up all their money. Many people worked very hard for the money they have and have the right to keep it. But they could be less selfish abd donate some of it. That's all I'm saying.
0 ups, 3y
And I’m saying they DO donate some of it. How do you think they end up paying no taxes?
[deleted]

Yes absolutely. In a heart beat I would.

What percentage of your income do you currently donate to charity?

lol I don't have a job and only have $400 to my name. Reason, I'm still a minor.

So, in other words, you don’t know what you’re talking about. How about giving your $400 to people who have nothing because, you know, they need it more than you do.

I would, but there are so many scams, I would have to do a lot of research into who I would be giving it to.
0 ups, 3y
Now it sounds like you’re just making excuses for not giving away your money. If you’re going to criticize others for not giving their money away, you better already be doing it yourself. Otherwise, you’re just being a hypocrite.

Heck yeah!
