Did you hear about the Federal Reserve-backed firms buying up property for way over asking price? At this rate, regular Americans in the future will likely never own their own home.

We have this issue in my town in Idaho. We bought a house for 369,000 1 1/2 years ago and now it is worth $550,00. My kids can not afford to move out because wages have not gone up. They are talking about moving away since rent is $2000 a month and they make about $2400.

Whoa, that bad? Even around me, you can still find one bedroom apartments under $600 or 2 bedrooms for under $800 and there’s plenty of jobs to work if you don’t mind factory work that will pay over $2400 a month.

Must be the midwest. This is where want to move to. I would consider this in the near future. We have been looking at Indiana.

do you guys think that the government controls rent or something???? The original comic was from an 1894 issue of Chicago labor, criticizing the Pullman companies measly payments and unfair rent to it's workers, in a society where there was no minimum wage or worker's rights.
