You'd think that the Twilight Zone, but instead it's the disturbing and nonsensical world of reality.

Imagine dividing the populace through such terms as "communist enemies of the country" and "the liberals want to take away everything that makes america great". Imagine assigning the label of "enemy of the people" to people that criticized you. Imagine allowing a cult to worship you and to turn your head when said cult calls people satanist blood mages simply because that makes it more likely you can be reelected. Imagine dividing the country by lying to 23% of it to the point where they attempt to sack the house of democracy because in the end, you failed to win that election.

Imagine telling people that a deadly virus is nothing to worry about and then being sent to the finest hospital in the world when your own folly gets you infected.

I don't interact with neighbors. They are free to do what they want. Just because we live by one another is not a mandate to like them nor to interact with them.

There's taking reasonable precautions and then there's being a germophobe. . .and that's what Covid did - turned a whole bunch of people into germophobes.

That sentiment becomes moot when dealing with a virus. It doesn't care if you don't want to interact with them, only that it get's to reproduce.

Even if you do not interact with them, the process of going to work or to school becomes increasingly risky the more people fail to stem that tide, because you nor your loved ones don't actually have to interact with your neighbors to catch the virus from someone that did interact with them.
