The maker of this meme is onto something, just not the way it's presented. Rather the effect is aimed at both republicans / conservatives and democrats / liberals. Pornography, radical feminism, mgtow, gillette ad, etc. all have resulted in fewer marriages and birthrates. Throw abortion into the mix and you got a lot less people than what might have been. Fewer people are easier to control. Alexandria Oscario Cortez is one of the only politicians I heard recently mention the decline in marriages. Only it is the result of a lot more than climate change which is what she was blaming it on. Yet I am glad to see the subject brought up.
Banning abortion will not lead to more democrat voters unless they actually take care of their children and not just send them to school and have little to do with them. You know, like how the nanny knows the children better than the parents.
Interesting topic, a lot more to consider than at first thought.

Surely you jest. The most difficult pro-abortion argument I have faced is in the event of rape. Eventually I concede on one requirement, that if the woman aborts due to rape, her choice to abort also condemns the rapist to death. Ironically, I have made many pro-abortionists turn pale and actually go defending the rapist saying it would be wrong to kill him. And I'm just sitting there wondering if they realize what they are saying. They say this raped woman is going to be traumatized if forced to bear the child but apparently not traumatized at the notion of her rapist being released in a few years..?
The problem with this argument is it implies only democrats have abortions. It also implies that democrat parents automatically raise democrat children. While I admit the apple does not always fall far from the tree. It is unnecessary. Even before this new talk of "critical race theory" I was accusing the school system of teaching our youth to hate America. It began when I read the article some years ago about college kids rudely disrespecting veterans on Veteran's Day. It was shameful.
So what I'm saying is that as long as schools, media, etc. keep up the way they are, there will consistently be more leftists. I hope you noted I said leftist and not democrats / liberals as there is a difference.
Take for example many of today's youth hates America because we had slaves. Yet not one iota is given about slavery in the world today. Take for example the ethnic cleansing of Nigerian Christians. The ones who are not killed immediately are kidnapped where they will likely be sold as slaves. But no one gives a second though about them because black lives matter, #metoo, and all the other ludicrous movements we got over here. To get so riled up about wrongs of the past and not bat an eye about worse things going on today is surely an example of one living in a bubble, the result of being taught little beyond what someone wants them taught, and abortion will have little effect on that.
Unless by some miracle the current system can not handle the excess youth that banned abortion will bring and as a result there will be more free minds. That could be a possibility. You can fool some of the people some of the time but can not fool all of the people all of the time. Hmm, yes it might make a difference. But they will not let it happen.

I'm not universally opposed to the death penalty, so I like the idea of killing the rapist too.

I simply can not figure out why the comment I typed second has posted itself before the comment I typed first. It did not work that way before, it used to post in order of when one typed it. Now I don't know.
The idea of repeat offenders is troubling. And even if the perp gets life or many years behind bars, it will not be long before the family has to deal with him trying to get payroll. Then they will likely hear a sob story of why they did what they did, all of which would be traumatizing and exhausting. There was a murder in the county where I live in 2012. The victim was the cousins of one of my classmates, I was a senior. In the following years he got charged guilty and I forget the sentence but it was fairly long. Within a year or so there was more articles talking about him possibly getting eligible for payroll or whatever when he can get out. The family of the victim was present I think. So when a sentence is given the family believes they can rest seeing justice served but then they have to deal with stuff like that. And the crazy thing is the lady he murdered wasn't his first murder, he was out of jail, for some reason, after killing a man sometime earlier. The guy became a repeat offender when he killed the cousin of my classmate. It is always important to be forgiving but in some cases I think it is safer to deal with hard criminals in a way they can not do it again.
In another matter democrats and republicans need to forgive the petty slurs towards each other and join together to save the country and freedoms both claim to care about. Crazies are attempting to undermine everything we cherish as Americans. Well, I suppose they are not altogether crazy since their plans of subterfuge is working. Crazy for attempting it perhaps. The many who believes it are not crazy rather they are brainwashed. They want us divided. They want us tearing at each other's throat and then they act like they care about unity. Lies and deceit! We are all Americans! There is no need to consistently divide us based on skin color and other trivial matters. We have reached a point where both sides are ready to silence the other any way possible because of all the chaos fueled by the divisive media. There needs no investigation to prove this accusation, it is bright as the sun. Now to find out who all is behind it and encouraging it is another matter. Whatever happened to I don't agree with what you say but I defend your right to do so.
