I'm am sorry to hear about your Grandfather. From my experience there is an aspect of luck invloved to get an image to the front page. If you were to remake that image about the passing of your grandfather 10 times over or so, some of those images would get more attention than others even though they were the exact same image. You can disagree with me but I believe that the moral of the story is not that "society is messed up" but more so "that propability is cruel".
