Can't be done overnight when you've got to negotiate the deal with special-interest-landlocked Democrats.

But they at least managed to slow the rate of growth.

Republicans are the only ones that ever talked about a balanced budget amendment, let alone a balanced budget anything.

Democrats, never.

You really havent addressed the OP. It doesnt take negotiating with the Dems to stop passing laws making more breaches into freedoms that have been established. Instead, the freedoms seem to shrink, amd yet, the way out there far right are saying the dems are taking their freedoms...nope.

Oh but the laws they are passing doesnt effect them, so they dont care, is that it? Or are they so snowbound with cheetoh dust they cant see who is actually limiting freedoms.

We will see what laws will come when strategies overcome the roadblocks. And we can then continue to see, who keeps passing laws limiting freedoms.

Well, considering the Governor of Florida just passed laws making it illegal for local municipalities to govern themselves, I see more reach of "small government" into our lives. You cannot tell me that is not an overreach of State power.
