Could we simply replace all the Confederate statues with more statues of this rugged military genius, two-term U.S. President, and unlikely hero?
And if we for some reason run out of busts of Grant: Simply order up more busts of Lincoln, Admiral David Farragut, General Sherman, etc. etc.?
Would that be in any way “erasing” the history of the Civil War?
Any Confederate flag-wavers gotta problem with that?
