Hah. I was just reading an article about all the awful things in U.S. history that have been done in the name of “bipartisanship”:
—The Iraq War
—The Patriot Act
—The Clinton crime bills
—The extraordinarily complex tax code
—Southern politicians of both parties backing Jim Crow laws
Etc. Etc. Etc.
You’re right, keep the politicians the hell away from this. We don’t need ‘em.
