The Poorly Educated

I know a guy who is an aeronautical engineer who helped design fighter jets, and he believes the Q crap. I DON'T GET IT. He believes stuff like the FBI is going to make some massive arrest of a bunch of treasonous people in government. I just said, "That will not happen." He thinks I'm stupid... That seems to be what I hear most frequently from people who believe in weird stuff. If you disagree with them, then you're stupid.

I'm not QAnon but what facts do you have to back up your claims. Are you just insulting people for the fun of it? Or are you insulting them because it makes you feel better about yourself?

The short version of that comment is, "A lot of people call me stupid when I disagree with them." I'm relating opinions and personal experiences. What is there to "fact check?" If someone feels insulted by the comment, then I have a suspicion that they like calling people who disagree with them 'stupid.' The place where someone could argue with my comment would be that I used the characterization 'weird.' An example of one of the Q things I find weird is the idea that there was a pizza parlor with a dungeon full of children.

I am not insulted because I am not a part of Qanon. I really don't know much about them other than they are Trump supporters.

Being called stupid is not unique to you. I have been called stupid and a lot of other things by tons of people here on ImgFlip. I just ignore it. It doesn't mean anything. They have never met me so how could they possibly know one way or another.

I just think to paint everyone in Qanon as stupid rubes is a very irresponsible. That would be like me calling people in Antifa stupid. I've met 1 or 2 Antifa members or supporters here on imgFlip and they aren't stupid.

Most Trumper's are fine. The Antifa people were smart to come up with the idea to pour quick concrete to block the doors of a federal building so the people inside will burn if they manage to set it on fire. Of all the people I know personally, only one is a Q. He may be an engineer, but also naïve and narrow in experience. Someone described as a rube is more being characterized as naïve and gullible than stupid. Of the Q people and stories I've studied online, I haven't seen anything that passes the sniff test. I would almost lump Q and flat earth together. Go incognito and look through some Q stuff. See for yourself.

Regardless, unless you personally got to know every single Qanon member, then your stereotyping.

I don't have enough interest in who they are to research them. I joined the Tea Party back in the late 2000's. They were great but for all the complaining about Obama's reckless spending, those people were silent when Trump spent our money just as fast.

So I'm done joining political groups. I'm not even a Republican any more. I left them close to 10 years ago.
