your question revealed that you haven't read about the vaccines. two of them (Pfizer and Moderna) have messenger RNA as their active ingredient. it causes (by the way, I'm writing this for others, not for you) the body to make the spike protein of the virus. it doesn't have the info needed to make the rest of the virus. everyone will eventually make this protein once they're infected, so if there's long-term damage from it, it's going to happen to everyone. at this point, though, there's no evidence of such damage from the spike protein or any reason to expect it. now, since everyone will eventually contract covid (just like everyone eventually gets flu), if there's any long-term damage due to viral infection, it's going to happen in any case, but it will be worse in unvaccinated people since their viral load will be much higher. so, based on the data and our previous experience, vaccination is the thinking person's best option. gloaters gotta gloat, so make your best choice, Syd.
