I want to know!

I'm a classical musician and the best thing I have to say about it is that it's good for studying. I like Tchaikovsky and Saint-Saens but the rest are kind of boring. I also like the music Joe Hisaishi has made for movies like Spirited Away and Howls Moving Castle but that could also be classified as "cinematic" instead of classical.

Miyazaki is so good at matching music with landscapes and storylines. Also the voice work from christian bale and billy crystal is ICONIC

I know!

I hold a very high respect for classical music, and appreciate the complexities and nuances that the composers wove into each symphony. It far surpasses any music that is made today in terms of subtlety and finesse. However, it's not my true taste in music, I much prefer classic rock, bluegrass, rockabilly, and classic country music.

The more you digest modern music the more you will gravitate to the musical complexities of classical music. Others move towards jazz. Unless you're a pleb for life and have zero musical acumen.
