I stumbled across that stream today, lol. Conceived as an alternative to the alternative to the politics stream — i.e. this one right here, PoliticsTOO — and effectively, winds up just being the politics stream. Hah. Likely folks will lose interest for that reason if it doesn’t find a way of distinguishing itself. But, I wish them luck. I don’t wish failure upon anybody.

Well, they at least made a show of reaching out to a liberal, lol. Accept or decline the mod invite as you wish. To each their own. Let a thousand streams bloom, I say.

Truly bipartisan political streams are quite hard to come by. Seems there have been many attempts and many failures. There’s undeniable and inevitable friction, seeing as right and left are so far apart not just in core beliefs but also in subscribing to two different factual universes.

I believe this is one of the better ones that tries to do that: imgflip.com/m/political_jokes . I share Modship with some righties and one or two other liberals. I’m super duper hands-off there, and I generally stay away from posting anything too in-your-face liberal. I think it helps that the stream tries to focus on humor, which hopefully, shall always remain a way to bring us together.

I have a few other crazy political stream projects but I’m not gonna count them since I’m the predominant contributor of content, so it doesn’t really count as an exercise in “bringing people together,” lol. But anyone is welcome to post.

Thanks Sloth for the encouragement we invited several liberal folks to join in but all declined we are just really sick of the lack of moderation in the Politics stream with some memes sitting there for 8 hours before being approved and the flood of off stream memes being allowed to post.

And Canadian_politics trickles lol, oh well. Apparrently we have the longest undefended border in the world with the world's nuttiest country (that we love) but nobody gives a shit where most of their natural resources come from or whose running the place. Sorry.
