that is, if that activist claimed that he was Virgin born. I know what you mean about the blanks on Jesus' life which is why some have written stories about Him commonly found in the Gnostic texts, but if He had made no claim to deity and virgin birth, chances are that the followers of Jesus would not have made that extreme jump from mere human activist to deity in human flesh unless He Himself made those claims.
After all, to make such claims about Jesus would risk death.
No one would willingly die for what they know is a lie.
So since nearly all the Apostles died horrible deaths, it is great evidence that what they've said about Jesus is true. That He is God in the Flesh, the only savior of the world who was crucified, died, and rose again on the third day.
