What's really scary is that the rate of charge for lithium ion batteries (the packs used in a Tesla) are carefully set. Charge too fast, or charge incorrectly and the batteries can explode.

Imagine checking your text messages while at the charging station, and suddenly you're on fire.

It would be an interesting method of assassination though.....
