And on that "apostrophe" that you have in obama, well that comes from the Greek and as far as I know no African language is derived from Greek....so that is just a modern invention by some Africans. Some African countries that were ruled by the Europeans such as the French had borrowed it from them, such as ‘N’Dour’, as in the Senegalese musician and politician Youssou N’Dour but that same name in Gambia is is spelled Ndur in English.
