Copy-pasting the same exact meme or comment (especially in the same thread) over and over and over again is such a basic and obvious form of spam that they must have not felt the need to actually spell it out in their definition.

Regardless, the unmistakable intent of all this is to harass me for being a “Leftist” (your term). I don’t describe my political beliefs as “Leftist.” That term is you trying to frame and slander me, knowing how the users of this stream will respond to that term like a dogwhistle. In much the same way a previously banned user has done in the past by calling me Commiekazi and whatnot. Memers have been banned from this site for serially doing that to other users.

So, you reposting this same “Leftist” meme again and again on every single politics meme I make (and your explicit threat here to continue doing it again and again) is both spam and harassment.

I am not a Mod of the politics stream and I’m not responsible for sorting out the toxic commentary here. However, I’ve interacted with the stream enough to know that the userbase has a conservative bias which can be seen the top “hot” memes and anyone who has used this stream for a time would agree. Liberals do still come here, though.

Some of the insulting liberal comments I’ve seen are a response to insulting conservative provocation. Other insulting liberal comments I’ve seen are unprovoked and come out of the blue. I agree it’s not a problem solely limited to right-wing users. And I would tell liberals to cut it out if they are doing it.

If I could solve the insult-trading between right and left here, I would. I expect the politics Mods would too. No one likes to read through these depressing comment chains. They do take action from time to time on the worst abuses. I’ve asked their guidance before on the question of the insults “libtards” and “MAGAts” (their answer: alright if in isolation, but not if done so repeatedly or in conjunction with other insults).

However, there is a pretty much unreconcilable tension between the concept of cracking down on spam, harassment, hate speech, etc. and permitting “free speech.” There are good arguments either ways and I am not aware of a perfect solution to this problem. All I know is that mods can draw the line at different places.

—A platform like Parler draws the line very far in favor of free speech, though even they have limits re: death threats etc.
—The mods of politics are more restrictive than Parler but still pretty permissive.
—The mods of PoliticsTOO are more restrictive.
—The mods of the New York Times comments section (let’s say) would be even more restrictive than PoliticsTOO.

I appreciate your offer to stay away from PoliticsTOO. If they post in politics I do think it’s fine to comment but of course refrain from harassment.

We of course disagree on many things but I think this conversation has been about as productive as it can be. So I’ll try to leave on a note of reespekt.

1. You didn’t acknowledge that the spamming was wrong but instead shifted focus to the memer who flagged you for it, implying their report was wrong when it was in fact totally justifiable.

2. I have received new flags from PoliticsTOO users about you darn near every day for the past several weeks.

3. “Snowflake” is a well-known, anti-liberal (especially) insult.

4. And after appearing to offer to leave this user alone, you instead backtracked on that and have since then been doubling-down and not accepting any responsibility. Classic abusive behavior.

And we don’t need to limit this to 2Spirit, after all. You’ve been flagged umpteen times by multiple people. It seems you regard any memer who calls PoliticsTOO their home as fair game.

Advice: If you can’t interact with the PoliticsTOO stream and its memers in a positive, constructive way, perhaps you should stay away from that stream entirely.

A threat implies aggressive action. I have no hostile intent toward you. I’m not aware that I’ve ever commented on a single one of your memes. I only recall your username from the countless flags I’ve received from PoliticsTOO memers due to your spam/harassment of them which you’ve now taken to spam/harassment of me in this stream.

Mods are there for us to help settle such disputes. So in the same way I protect PoliticsTOO memers from your spam and harassment, I expect the mods of this stream to protect me from you, if need be.

But I prefer to try to work things out before getting mods involved, if possible. You honestly seem like an intelligent guy. You’re not like some of the dopes of this stream like purgeboy who threaten genocide and murder of Leftists on a daily basis, and therefore get reported by me straight to the mods without any pointless attempt to engage them. I don’t think we need to go that route.
