Lincoln was not a believer in the 10th Ammendment

Lincoln sucked, started a war for gold and his vp was a sleezebag that ran the test run for fiat currency ushering rule by global elitists.

Yeah he was quite the character. I don't hate him, but I don't praise him either. It's always funny how many conservatives love and practically worship him, but yet, so much of what he did was often what they supposedly fight against. He consolidated the government, said goodbye to the 10th, started a war against his own people seceding from the Union (that was legal as far as I can tell) plus other nonsense. Obviously there was the whole slave thing which I understand, but still, no other nation had to go to war to get rid of that terrible institution, why did Lincoln?

Because it was never about slavery with him.

This is true. You have to wonder how long one will be able to say the truth about the Civil War without going to jail:) I mean it's a very complicated subject, and obviously the slaves were a part of it, but the way most people talk about Lincoln's "Righteous War" is just laughable.

I learned a few years ago that there were free blacks in Louisiana even while slavery was allowed in other states.

Kansas was admitted to the union January 29th 1861 as a free state.

No he definitely was not; the same for many of our "glorious" Presidents. The Constitution is only as good as the people who enforce it.!
