I'm probably going to have both the right and the left attack me on this one. Oops.

I'm probably going to have both the right and the left attack me on this one. Oops. | The Pledge of Allegiance was written in 1892 by Francis Bellamy, a socialist. The Founding Fathers did not believe in "honor pledges" because the government serves the people, not the other way around. This is why no Pledge existed before the beginning of the Progressive era. What is interesting is that ideological descendants of those Progressives now HATE the Pledge. More directly they HATE the 1954 addition of "under God" to the Pledge. Without "under God" the pledge is meaningless. | image tagged in us flag, pledge of allegiance, fealty oaths, freedom, socialism | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Do whatever you want with this information. I am not saying that you should never say the Pledge of Allegiance nor am I saying you should take a knee with all of the athletes who have been brainwashed by the left to believe that they are oppressed while living in mansions that most of the rest of us can only just dream about.

This is just a fact that I am throwing out there for you to consider.

Football players aren’t trying to say they’re oppressed. The kneeling is a protest about the disproportionate number of blacks being killed by police.

But it is not disproportionate. More whites are killed by cops than blacks. What is disproportionate is the perception which is stoked by the media to cause racial division.

You mean properly proportionate?

THAT'S PRETTY INTERESTING THE PLEDGE IS MEANINGLESS,AS IS THE OUTRAGE FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT STAND. | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
societally imposed pledges and acts of compliant nationalism are made meaningless by the very nature of imposition.

I said that without "under God" the Pledge is meaningless. Those who do not stand are not standing during the national anthem, not the Pledge of Allegiance.

I rebel against almost anything I am compelled to do by the powers in charge. Like when I got drafted and it was swear such stuff or get court-martialed. They are meaningless if you HAVE to do them or suffer consequences.

I have absolutely no problem with swearing an oath to defend and protect the Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. I never served in the military no as a cop or any other position with the government where I was required to swear that oath but I would gladly do that.

That oath is entirely different than swearing fealty. The Constitution is what protects our inalienable rights from the government Without it we become just another 3rd world dictatorship. Freedom is under heavy assault from the left. The left either knowingly or unknowingly are fighting to turn us into that 3rd world dictatorship as fast as they can and to do so the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence is their biggest obstacle.

I'm not a big fan of thoughtless acceptance of anything, but it's one of the less harmful things. I'm more annoyed when people think the communist crap written on the statue of liberty is representative of any American ideal.

Have you heard Glenn Beck's speech at CPAC several years ago about the poem written on the Statue of Liberty. The left, as usual, interprets it wrong and that is all you typically hear about that poem. It is not communist at all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmf3d0Rs7Qo

YouTube used to have his full speech but ever since YouTube went full communist they have been removing anything that slightly resembles pro-American speech. I wish they had the full speech because he continues about how the golden door represents the greatness that anyone can achieve with liberty. Maybe its on Rumble. I haven't checked to see if it is there or not.
