Just pointing out how many celebrities in politics have made it big in the GOP including no less than 2 of the last 4 Republican presidents (and Ahnold was talked about as presidential material, until the GOP as a whole became far too extreme)

Reagan wasn't all that bad...that leaves Trump.

He’s okay honesty. Heck, if conservatives want Ahnold to be the next White House occupant, which would make him the THIRD of 5 recent GOP POTUSes to have a media background, I would support amending the Constitution to allow foreigners to run :)

But he is, without question, a “celebrity in politics.” So, he completes the joke :)

This talking head, inexplicably, and Ben Shapiro are also talked about as leading potential Presidential contenders for 2024. Each in their own way a media personality even if they happen to be more politically-inclined. Of note, neither has held public office.

Point being, the conservative movement is far more beholden to mass media, and style over substance, than they like to admit.

Pretty cringe how this chiseled, accomplished, polyglot former Governor of America’s largest state and immigrant success story (along with the other actual talents in the GOP) lost total control of the Party to a lardbucket B-list reality TV star, failed casino mogul, professional conspiracy theory promoter and race-baiter with no governing experience to speak of
