lol, that happens, I made the same mistake with historical events more than once. For example, I thought the 100 Years War was fought by Protestants and Catholics but it's actually between the English and the French, decades before the 30 Years War.

Didn't remember the 30 years war. The Crusades totally shadowed that over.

Actually the 30 Years War occurred centuries afterward, as the last Crusade ended around the 13th century. The 30 Years War happened in the mid-1500's.

It was one of the most devastating war that centered in Germany, but fought by most major powers in Europe. The first half was a religious war in which, the Catholics were winning. However, the second half was increasingly secular. It is a very complicated war, but the Protestant side won... by name. The victory was more geopolitical than religious, but out of it came the treaty of Westphalia, which established a balance of power in Europe.

I mean, in terms of education. I got a one day lesson in the 30 Years War and a week of lessons in the Crusades.
