Interesting take. However, I've found that generosity, as in personal generosity, doesn't really fall along party lines. I know both liberals and conservatives who generously give time and money to various charitable organizations. Yep, that's just my take, so it's entirely anecdotal.
Although, if generosity did fall along party lines, I speculate that liberals would be more inclined to give the govt tax money (although, not more than they're legally required to... they have that in common with conservatives) and let the govt dole it out as it sees fit. Otoh, I speculate that conservatives would be more inclined to give money to specific charities they approve of.
