House panel advances bill that would pay reparations to descendants of slaves

No one deserves any reparations.

- No one alive today owned slaves prior to the Civil War.
- No one alive today was a slave prior to the Civil War.
- The Indians were paid for their land. Just because they were bad at bargaining and sold Manhattan for a crate of beads is not the fault of anyone who currently lives there.

Indeed, this whole narrative is a joke, and the people who are pushing for it, do it only for political power grabs.

So if a guy who appears white had an ancestor that was a slave, he gets money? Does that mean that I get to sue the government for failing to protect my ancestors for the discrimination they experienced when they immigrated here? Some African Americans act like they are the only ones to have experienced, well, anything. It's like they're afraid to lose their victim status.

Of course, if they stop being victims they won't get free stuff. Are you back now? I've seen a few posts but not your usual.

The 620,000 Americans who died in the Civil War is the price America paid for it's sin of slavery. No more reparations are needed.
