well consider that its usually a lot easier to defend yourself with a gun

also mind that when there are instants to defend yourself, you don't have time to think "hmm... is this the wrong weapon?"
Oh, you hesitated to pull it out of the holster? Too late, you're dead.

Riots vs. routine traffic stops

You: They’re the same picture

How do you think traffic stops work? You stop a car fitting the description of one in the system, just to check. If you get a positive ID on someone inside the car or find incriminating evidence of another crime, take them in. Literally what it is.

Things that make ME go hmmm...

1: Your belief that this was just a
“ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP”

This “ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP”
revealed this wanted criminal
had outstanding warrants for:

A: “CARRYING A PISTOL
WITHOUT A PERMIT”
———————————————
{Who could have guessed that a
criminal would disobey the local
gun-control laws? i’M sHoCkED!}
———————————————

B: “FLEEING A PEACE OFFICER”
———————————————
{I’m sUrE hE wOuLdN’t HaVe
RuN AwaY tHiS TiMe... Oh...
wait... he did try to run, AGAIN!}
———————————————

C: “FAILING TO APPEAR”
———————————————
{This is a ‘Gross Misdemeanour’,
which added yet another criminal
charge to his other two charges!}
———————————————

I believe that turned it into a
“non-routine traffic stop”.

2: That you actually believe
your comparison between
our two memes was logical.

A man is dead through gross police misconduct and you're talking about warrants and common violations like missed court dates.

We live in a country with constitutional rights, and therefore the criminal record or lack thereof is

Totally

Irrelevant

When it comes to use-of-force decisions

Hope this helps

A criminal is dead because he failed to show up at court, therefore increasing his warrant count to three. If he had shown up, he would have either:

-been cleared and have no warrants, therefore only receiving a ticket for the traffic violation.

-been convicted, therefore not getting shot because he wouldn’t have been driving.

Nope, that's not how the use-of-force analysis works.

Would you like to know? Just ask, or Google it.

So you’re telling me that if he had no warrants that he would still be dead? Explain!

I don't need to answer your silly question that compounds strawmanning with a hypothetical.

You explain why you think this police shooting was justified using the facts we have.

He was stopped for a traffic violation.
The officers run his name.
* He has a warrant for a gun offence. *
* He has another for fleeing a officer. *
* He has a third for failing to appear. *
This causes concern in the officers.
The officers approach warily.
* He attempts to flee. *
He gets shot.

Had any of the actions with a * not been part of the equation, he most likely would have just gotten detained for the outstanding warrants.

Cool fanfic bro

At most, we have here a non-threatening, non-lethal attempt to resist arrest.

A situation that they made tasers exactly for. So: if we are to credit the police officer’s self-serving explanation that she “meant to reach for her taser,” (and worth noting we don’t have to buy that explanation at all, she could be lying) — she had it almost right!

Allllllmost!

And thus we are back full-circle at the very point I made in my OP meme.

Did you see it?

What do you think?

No attempt to flee in a vehicle can be considered non-lethal. The cops, the criminal and the community were are in danger.

Actually, it's entirely relevant under the Necessary and Proper Clause (Article I, Section VIII, Clause XVIII). But you wouldn't know that. It states that government entities have the duty of instituting laws that are necessary and proper, and since there are laws making missing court a federal crime, that makes it relevant. That common violation is a crime, and since the Constitution literally states it is not only the right, but the duty of government to make necessary laws, his criminal record is the most relevant it can be.

Rubber/glue: isn’t that what they say in the second grade?
1 up, 4y
Kind of, but not in that way.

Second graders don’t contract the argument into two words. They usually use the entire saying.

However, I knew what type of argument you were using, which is why I was able to tell you that your rebuttal was extremely childish.
