Just cut down the pear tree in my front yard about 9-10 months ago...honestly I hated that thing. It stank, it dropped all kinds of junk in the yard, it killed my grass, and every wind storm that came up resulted in a yard clean up from fallen sticks, leaves, and branches...once so bad that I had a limb fall across the neighbor's hedges and i had to clean it all up. That was bad. I don't miss having it at all, but they are pretty so I'll say that at least!

Back in 2017 my family, we had a pear tree right near the driveway and winter Storm Riley came through and split the middle of the tree and it crashed down on our driveway. A few months later we had to have it cut down because we had to put clamps on it just to keep it up. The sad thing is that my grandfather planted that tree, he passed in 2008 unfortunately.

Shame that this tree had a good memory attached to it with your grandfather having planted it, but it's typical of that kind of tree unfortunately. Sorry for your loss, my grandfather passed in 2005 and it was a very difficult time for me. He was a great man.

They are Beautiful when they grow like that. When I saw someone with the Apple trees they’re like the same thing what you had seen in spring. I loved trees that looked like that. 😊😊😊😊😊
