Plot twist times 2: Both all animatronics are damage and they look like that because they have been rusted and broken for many years. and if foxy only attacked freddy why are the others damage as well? even if he did attacked all of them the others would fight back and take foxy out for good.

Plot twist times 30000000: The animatronics are all damaged due to remodling for other animatronics, so foxy does think you're freddy but doesn't really give a f**k and kills you anyway because anger

Plot twist 500000000000000: The animatronics are damage because of old age and getting their parts getting taken away and so does foxy and freddy and if foxy attacked freddy or you the others will come after him and destroy him because after all they see you as freddy. and If freddy sees foxy killed you it's RIP in the chat for foxy.

The reason the toy animatronics are fooled is because they have a facial recognition which is blocked by the mask. As for the withered gang, I'm not really sure. They don't have facial recognition. It might be because the souls inside aren't fully aware that they are who they are. this would mean that the soul inside W. Freddy (Gabriel or whoever's possessing him) doesn't know that he's freddy, or perhaps does know this, but thinks himself to be a different Freddy than the one the mask is. But that's just a theory.
