OK. Calling all experts on Georgia's new SB 202. Please indicate when you read Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to elections and primaries generally, Chapter 35 of Title 36 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to home rule powers, Title 50 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions regarding state government, Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to elections and primaries generally, is amended by revising paragraph (35) of Code Section 21-2-2, Code Section 1-1-3, paragraph (35) of Code Section 21-2-2, relating to definitions. These laws are cited liberally in the text of SB202. These are the laws amended by this act. You cannot fully understand what this law does or does not do without complete knowledge of those laws. So, please indicate that you have read them and understand what they say. Then, we can have a discussion about what this law really does. Until then, we can only discuss its intent.

Clearly, the message from Georgia Republicans is that they view the 2020 elections as rife with fraud. Investigations by their own government agencies responsible for such problems and outside, independent parties have concluded that is not true. Yet line 3 of section 2 of this law says that it was prompted by "allegations of rampant voter fraud." So, the intent of the passage of this law includes dealing with"rampant voter fraud," which has all but been proved to not exist. Section two of the law also mentions "allegations of voter suppression." Voter suppression, which is a serious problem is only alleged and not investigated. Whereas, voter fraud, which has been all but disproved, is offered as a great reason to pass a law that is viewed as racially motivated by just about every major corporation in America and Major League Baseball.

Why would so many of my fellow capitalists, and the people who administer America's sport see this law in that light? The worst kept secret in the 2020 election in Georgia is that an increase in the number of Black Voters resulted in a state that had been solidly Republican, voting for Democrats for President and the two US Senate seats. This undermines the "allegations of voter suppression," cited in the law. In fact, the law by suggesting "rampant fraud," implies that the newer voters, mostly Black, would be the source of said fraud. That is racism, pure and simple.

There is a typo "2001," instead of "2021," in this meme. I apologize for not catching my error. However, since it does not substantially alter the message, I am going to let it stand and take the (deserved) snide comments from detractors.

Surly you must be talking about Jim Eagle.

Jim Crow laws were state and local laws that enforced racial segregation in the Southern US. All were enacted by WHITE DEMOCRATIC state legislatures after the reconstruction period.

Why have democrats allowed African Americans to fall way behind Africans in 3rd World countries?

Every African country has Voter ID or requires picture ID in order to vote. Why do democrats insist it's racist to ask for one, or that African Americans can't get one? Sounds like Dems are the ones keeping blacks down in this country.

Why did it take Blacks producing a Democratic victory for Republicans to change the law? Sounds to me like you are making your same tired excuses for being on the wrong side of history.

Just for the record, there are 54-countries in Africa. Only six require a national I.D Card to vote. Five require one of several types of I.D. Nine have very vague laws that do not require specific I.D. Thirty-four will allow a "witness" or traditional leader to identify them for voting purposes, among a range of options. So not "Every African country has Voter ID or requires picture ID in order to vote." In fact, a majority do not. So, you are either lying or you were misinformed.

Just for the record, Larry...this is AMERICA, the UNITED STATES OF. Who gives a shit how shit-hole countries run their elections? We aren't a backwards, third-world country...YET.

The way your boy Biden and his minions are running things, it won't be long before we are.

Your offensive meme aside, please cite the section of the Georgia SB 202 Election Integrity, that prevents a person of color from voting and explain how it does so. I've read the entire bill and failed to find anything that treats whites and persons of color differently. Nor did I find anything that makes it excessively difficult for any person to vote.

If the new law changes nothing from the election in which a large number of Blacks overwhelmingly rejected the Republican Party's candidates, why did it need to be enacted? I guess all White people living in Black majority districts where the numbers of drop boxes or other election support services were cut, will be treated equally. Blacks and Whites equally will not be guaranteed Sunday voting (Two Sundays are "optional," not guaranteed voting dates. That will equally affect Whites and Blacks taking part in the traditional "Souls to the Polls" events that account for a good deal of the Black vote each election. The law does not identify the race of the people being affected by the legislation passed after Blacks won the election and that targets ways of voting they use more than Whites do. That's damn White of them.

Just read what the Republican Lt. Governor of Georgia said, yesterday, about Trump's and Rudy G's lies about fraud and a stolen election being the impetus for this bill. He says it passed because of these lies, which implicated the surge in Black voters as being voter fraud. As I said, people were being "put in their place."

The placement of your question makes it hard to pinpoint which information you are asking for. Be specific. I will gladly point you in the right direction.

So, are you avoiding asking a straight question because you are afraid of the truth? Or is it your knee-jerk predisposition to insult people that takes control? I will not avoid a real specific question.

The Carter Center did research on voter requirements in Africa and Latin America. It is one of those heavily footnoted pieces, that is actually a pretty easy read. I only posted the info as a reaction to a statement made, incorrectly, that all African countries require photo IDs to vote. I actually prefer that there be some sort of identity verification process, as long as it is not onerous. That said, here is the link: https://www.cartercenter.org/resources/pdfs/peace/democracy/des/voter-identification-requirements.pdf

Yes...they're one in the same.
What I don't understand is how RAHT is allowed to post 4 memes (or more) in one day.

I don't hate anyone and discourage all others from doing so. Hatred caused the death of a Capitol police officer about a week ago. It brings nothing positive to any situation. It is not necessary for productive outcomes.
