'Criminals' is a label and until you are one or know one you should try to understand they are people too. If they did something bad let them be judged not killed by police 'sworn to protect'

The criminals that die to police are mainly the ones that don't do what the officer says, or attacks the officer, so it is fine for them to be judged like that, unless they did do what the officer said. They know what they're doing, they are willingly breaking the law, stealing from other people. Those people are people, but they are bad people

If someone tries to kill someone else, the person can kill the attacker in self defense, what else do you expect, you want them to just die and not care that an innocent life was lost compared to losing a guilty one

That logic breaks down in a court of law. Sure, in theory that might makes sense to you but explain that logic to a judge and I'm guessing they're gonna say thats murder regardless. If someone tries to kill you and you stop them, great, hold them for arrest and let the judge decide. If not and you (or anyone) kills them because 'you can' then you're no better.

Correct, the defender is guilty of killing someone, but he still made the correct choice, regardless if he goes to jail for it. You don't kill them because you can, I'm talking about when you don't have time to think, so your head went to the first thing that we can think of doing, protect yourself, if we came from animals, then we would make some choices that they would make in certain cases when you don't have time to think about it, if a predator is attacked by another predator, chances are it defends itself, it defends itself because it can, it has the strength and the tools (teeth, claws, etc.) if it weren't a predator, it wouldn't have those things, so it would run away. Let's say you have a gun in your hand, someone pulls out a gun and starts to aim at you, you don't try to dodge the bullet, you use the gun and shoot him first, you don't think of where to shoot to not kill him, it's life or death so you had to make the decision quickly

Most will never be in that situation fortunately, due to situational awareness and avoiding places with a well earned bad reputation. Life is not a video game with bad guys popping out everywhere, and although some might have a fantasy of a pew pew shootout, real life is different. Many folks are so damaged mentally after killing they suffer for the rest of their life.
