Constitution of IMGFLIP_PRESIDENTS

The purpose of this stream is to be a fun roleplay. It has become necessary that a constitution and solid set of rules be created in order for the stream to continue.

Article 1 – President
Section 1 – The President shall be elected every two months. Candidates must have a Vice President prior to the vote. The candidate with the most votes at the end of voting will be inaugurated President the next day.
Section 2 – The President will be given moderator of the stream, not to be revoked unless convicted of impeachment charges.
Section 3 – The President shall have the authority to enforce stream rules as necessary
Section 4 – The President may appoint advisors to help them enforce stream rules. There are not requirements or limits on who an advisor can be. The advisors are only there to help the President, they hold no power.

Article 2 – Vice President
Section 1 – The Vice President shall be elected as the President’s running mate.
Section 2 – The Vice President will be given moderator of the stream, but only so long as their term lasts.
Section 3 – If the President has been inactive for 3 days, the Vice President will step in for any necessary duties. The President should say if they know they will be inactive so the Vice President can step in immediately.

Article 3 – Head of Congress
Section 1 – The Head of Congress shall be elected every two months. The candidate with the most votes at the end of voting will be inaugurated the next day.
Section 2 – The Head of Congress shall hold a Congressional meeting at least once a week to discuss law proposals and the like.
Section 3 – The Head of Congress shall be given moderator so long as their term lasts.

LaChancla threw an enormous hissy fit over losing control of military and is still bitter about it (weeks after his presidency expired), but he was never super active there in the first place. Look at his history there, it’s minimal.

Legion etc. struck me as extremely effective anti-Nazi fighters as that’s why I made Legion owner. They ended up really reviving the stream and used it for its intended purpose: whacking threats to the PRESIDENTS stream.

I had the right to do this because I was given owner, and I don’t regret it.

TL:DR version- You can be puppet King of the stream but you will always be proverbial biotch to the global mods and the TRUE King, the site owner, and their whims. Subservient to the users if they create enough of a reasonable stink about the serious issues facing the stream, as evidenced by your failure to offer Hedgewik/WN covert asylum for his toxic presence in face of the users protests over it. (Read: You were forced into bowing to their will on that)

Put another way- It’s really a choice of doing it the hard way (i.e.with more drama), or, the easy way as they have suggested.

Hard way = With the WhiteNats & Timbers remaining perma-banned and the Richards being forced from the shadows and eventually joining them. Mods having to come in like the United Nations to stop this proverbial Serbia of sorts from eating its own tail.

Easy way = lighten up AND strictly enforce the worst offenses of the ToS when WN comes around OR when Timber impersonates Tommy (and others) in his lame ongoing efforts to stir the pot or infiltrate the stream (takes you 2.5 secs to delete his crap, you don’t need to argue with him. WN’s victims get their pound of flesh. Drama is reduced. Everyone is happy, problem is solved). And reign-in Richard a little who cheats and trolls like a MF. Again- The easy way.

Got some ‘outside’ advice on this. Same outside advice that eventually resulted in WhiteNat starting to be properly banned from this stream.

‘Their’ fun sober advice and suggestions to remedy ongoing drama is as follows:

‘They’ said that if you are sincerely scared that elections for owner could risk stream security then everyone could, in advance, enter into an agreement with a trusted community mod like OP or Kate, or even a global mod if you prefer the highest security. That at the first sign of trouble the rogue owner would have his privileges revoked.

The other suggestion is to cut out the middle man all together and simply relinquish ownership to a trusted global mod or community mod, who is bound by the site owner Dylan to be impartial in these things.

‘They’ likened this dilemma to that of a petulant child who will storm off home with his football if he doesn’t get his way. Of course it’s your decision as owner of the stream if you ultimately wants to be dictator of this stream. But ‘within reason’.

Ergo, as a remedy to any abuse or neglect by stream ownership, the site owner and mods will simply just monitor the stream more closely as they have been doing. If necessary, micromanage it for abuse by trolls like WhiteNat and Richard until arbitrary mudslinging rules and other illusory freedoms become meaningless in the face of the ToS and enforcement of it, an agreement everyone here entered into and, thus, relinquished certain freedoms and powers to the powers that be.

Article 4 – Congress
Section 1 – Congress shall be formed of 10 members. The Head of Congress shall be a member, and will also select 4 other users to sit on Congress. The President shall select 3 users to sit on Congress. The runner-up to President and the runner-up to Head of Congress will each be given a seat in Congress.
Section 2 – Congress shall propose and vote on rules for the stream. A simple majority will pass the bill, and the President may choose to pass the bill or veto it. If the President vetoes a bill, Congress may override the veto with a 2/3 majority.
Section 3 – Vacancies in Congress shall be filled by the Head of Congress and the President, alternating between the two (Head of Congress fills first vacancy, President fills second, and so on, and so forth).

Article 5 – Owner
Section 1 – The Owner shall be responsible for running the stream, including elections, transfer of power, and ensuring that the stream does not fall to pieces.
Section 2 – The Owner shall act as Judge of the stream.
Section 3 – The Owner shall have the sole power of impeachment.

Article 6 – Punishing Users
Section 1 – The only punishment available is a temporary or permanent ban.
Section 2 – If a user posts or comments something against the rules, it is up to the President and current Moderators to enforce the rules, but there does not necessarily need to be a punishment.
Section 3 – If there is repeated, constant and total disregard for the rules, punishment ought to be discussed.
Section 4 – The Jury (Congress, President, and Vice President) may vote to decide if punishment ought to be delivered, and they shall make their recommendation to the Judge.
Section 5 – Any user deleted by site moderators will be banned from the stream, for a minimum of 3 months from the time of their deletion.

Article 7 – Voting
Section 1 – ALL users are entitled to ONE vote. Multiple votes and alternate accounts voting WILL NOT be tolerated.
Section 2 – Voting will be held the last 2 days of the month, every 2 months. The winners will be inaugurated the first day of the next month directly following the end of the election.
Section 3 – No user shall be elected to the same office more than once in a year.

Article 8 – Amendments
Section 1 – Amendments to the Constitution will be made with 2/3 approval by Congress, approval by President, and approval by Owner.
