I never recall TRUE patriots from any time embracing democracy. Our Founding Fathers created a Constitutional Republic to protect us and our liberties/rights. There were false patriots who sided with the British (Tories), wanting to be under complete control, without liberty. TRUE patriots have always been hated. Freedom from Britain during Revolutionary war era, freeing slaves during Civil War era, and even today. I don't agree with everything Trump does, but I believe he was for the people. Biden is saying that we "might" be able to have small cookouts by Independence Day, I don't think he understands what Independence Day is about then. We are entitled to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, with many other rights. If we are not allowed to celebrate these liberties, I believe we have fallen into a dictatorship ourselves.
