no the reason they don't do that is obvious, first of all it is way to expensive and complicated to set that up in an ER. Secondly it is common medical knowledge the brain ceases to funtion approximately 4 to 6 minutes after the heart and resperation stops (except in rare cases as mentioned above). If the heart has stopped and the person had suffered TBI they most often won't even try restarting the heart; In reality doctors are using brain death as a definition when then spend 5 or 6 minutes trying to restart the heart and reperation before calling death.
