As well as physical and mental damage. Usually from prolonged use, but especially with psychedelics, one bad trip that might have effects lasting a lifetime takes only one bad trip.

I knew a few people growing up that snapped for life after taking LSD. Even after taking over 50 trips. One had epilepsy and went psychosis after taking his first hit. Was never the same.

Like thia one fella I knew, just wanted a teeny taste before taking the tab of acid later, and it was like a flash, and nothing was the same. Not way psychotic, but a depressive funk, no motivation, stopped working, was out of it,,,

Another one from the next block, he did loads of stuff when we were young, walks around talking to himself now, same deal, no work, no marriage, just passing through life, never moving out on his own.

Found out a couple of weeks ago that one of my buds from my party up daze when I had moved, he passed away. Not sure why, I don't feel like asking. He stopped using years ago, got his shit together enough, had something of a life. Did prison too (that's where he got clean) for robbery and assault. Had to feed that crack somehow. Dude was always pacing when we were all hanging out, one corner to another, back n forth, around the block quicker than we'd notice he was gone. R.I.P. Charlie.
