Since dems have already shown their willingness to use these tactics against someone like Kavanaugh, I easily see them deciding to take Cuomo out for a couple of reasons. Either a key dem power broker doesn't want him running against Biden (well, Harris really...) in 2024, or they're simply trying to deflect attention from the fact that he's responsible for killing thousands of innocent senior citizens, which could easily be viewed as making the dem party look bad. And that just won't do.

But in Moore's case, they turned on him because he deviated from liberal group think, right?

What really could be the reason they're turning on Cuomo?

We've seen it before (most recently Al Franken comes to mind) so maybe every few years they decide to offer up one of their more egregious offenders to keep the public believing they're some how fair and objective, in spite of all evidence being to the contrary.

Even Democrats have limits to the Idiocracy with which they will put and getting people killed may (sometimes) exceed those limits.
