What the difference between being banned, and no longer being published

Banned mean illegal to posses or own, no longer being published means that it is no longer in print, bit can still be sold ad owned. You can buy the books, its just they are 600 a book now, because they are are limited print now. If Ebay or some other store front doesnt want to sell them, then once again that is that private entities right to not sell them. The government has not said it is is illegal to posses these publications....no, go out amd make some kiddy porn and share with your friend, you will get a quick lesson in what publications you can posses, and what publications you cannot. Not declared, its Found To Be...that is the difference. There will be a paper published telling you WHY IT WAS BANNED, not just a statement DECLARING it is offensive.
