Language is and always has been fluid. It drives me crazy when I hear teachers say me and, but the same rule I grew up with wasn’t written in stone either.

I have traveled quite a bit and in some different countries they put the verb and noun the opposite of Americans. Makes talking to them interesting.

Correcting the grammar of someone who's less educated makes you a teacher.

Although, as a teacher, I recognize that other dialects of English (Ebonics, for example) have their own grammar. They're fine, and at times you just need to cue a kid to code-switch.

HowEVER, people trying to talk standard English who say "Ask Mary and I" or "Ask Mary and myself" need to be taught. With prejudice.
