To thine own self be true.

Trust yourself, for you are your own best guide in life. Nurture that relationship. For you are only one who was always there, and will always be there.

You are the only one who knows it all, who witnessed everything from the beginning. The only one who will be there till the end, no matter what.

What makes man different from sheep? We shepherd ourselves through life. Or if not, then we are no better than sheep.

"Alpha wolves" are a myth.

Thanks for links, but since I am totally unacquainted with these webpages, I won't chance visiting. Anyway, I feel you may have misunderstood my point, that being my husband is not a follower/sheep and he is not of a beta mindset but rather the opposite. As for literal wolves, the alpha males do exist, even if in a communal dynamic.

Sure, I'll watch these sometime soon. But my goodness, you sure like to turn a conversation around, don't you?

Yes. Yes I do. >:)

It seems like you don't want to expose yourself to facts that might challenge how you define yourself. Perhaps I'm wrong.

No, alpha wolves do not exist even in a "communal dynamic," as the scientists quoted in the above articles have proven. In nature, the "alphas" are actually the parents of the rest of the pack. Rudolph Shenkel, who invented the term after observing captive wolves in zoos, and David Mech, who popularized it, have both renounced the term.

I don't want to expose my computer to a site that may have viruses. Please don't be paranoid.

It depends on the context. Politically, Religously/Spiritually, Romantically, etc. I guess, personally, my shepherd would be your mom

How mature, did you pick that up from elementary school, or did you come up with that intellectually lazy joke yourself?

So you admit to using the most basic of comebacks/jokes?

I mean, sure why not? If it'll make you feel happy and superior

An expectation is a premeditated resentment.

Well, for seriousness, I do think it depends on what you're talking about; for me, it's religiously. I'm Christian and though I'm not certain of it, I like to say Jesus is my shepherd. I'm learning more of Him and God's word so I don't know if I can call Him my shepherd but without getting too religious if I haven't already, I like to surrender my thoughts and actions to Him and Him only. Plus, unlike your mom, I can make a good roast when I can, I just don't waste it my time on people like you

A lot of conservatives let trump be their shepherd. Religious leaders are made shepherd. Anyone with an audience that thinks themself superior and convinces others so is a shepherd.

Ah, but who are you letting be your shepherd?

no one who has a shepherd will acknowledge that they have one. We all have one even if we don't know it.

Hmm, quite an interesting conclusion.

I take back the first part. Some people acknowledge they have a shepherd.

I do agree it's easier to see someone's shepherd rather than their own.
