I never said I want stuff for free. That’s just a conservative talking point that has no basis in reality. What we want is better services for our tax dollar.

National healthcare is paid with taxes, but you don’t have to worry about a single health problem bankrupting you.

Better schools that will allow our children to compete in the world and not just grow a new batch of service workers.

Roads and bridges that are safe to on.

I can go on, but we understand it costs money. What the conservatives dislike is anyone seemly getting something for free they didn’t earn. They tend to ignore that their heroes, the filthy rich are the ones getting stuff for free at the expense of the rest of society.

The “big” vs. “small” government debate is a trap.

Insist on a government that works.

I want a government that's transparent and accountable.

Yes, I know actual leftists don't say they want free stuff. Or for that matter, higher taxes, at least not for working-class people. I was just pointing out that conservatives accuse us of wanting both even though they're inconsistent with each other.
