That person absolutely is entitled to public safety protection while riding the tube. Doesn't matter what he's wearing.

I don't think the OP meant safety, but protection from people looking at him wierd or questioning him.

See, you say that, but he's statistically more likely to be subject to harassment and attack. And London Transport have publicly stated their commitment to making everyone feel safe on the Tube - which means he is allowed to complain if people are looking at him weirdly. Most people don't anyway - it's the Tube, most people just want to get home, everyone leaves each other well alone.

He should be protected from physical danger. No argument there. However, you can't expect all the people around him to agree with his lifestyle. If someone looks at you wired, just ignore it.

All the people around him are wondering if the missus wants them to pick up sausages for dinner tonight. It's the Tube. It's the London Tube. If someone's looking at you weird, something's already gone wrong - nobody ever does that on the London Underground.

What's it matter where he is? Is there something that happened with this specific guy that I am unaware of?

What's the problem? Have you forgotten what you said at the start of the thread? Did you never really understand in the first place? Or do you think that pretending to not understand helps you carry on the argument? Just let me know what this is.

Go reread what I said before. I was just saying that when the meme says protection, it likely didn't mean from physical harm. that's all.

So now we've gone from arguing about looking at people weird to just ignoring everything that's been said on this thread at all?

I'll leave it to you to reread the thread. I'm not repeating myself.

The only two things I said before I asked what happened:

"I don't think the OP meant safety, but protection from people looking at him wierd or questioning him."

"He should be protected from physical danger. No argument there. However, you can't expect all the people around him to agree with his lifestyle. If someone looks at you wired, just ignore it."

If someone attacked this guy or something, let me know. You were talking as if something happened to him (That's what this was saying:
"What's it matter where he is? Is there something that happened with this specific guy that I am unaware of?")

What am I ignoring? Also, it would be nice to get an answer to my question, yes or no :)

What makes you think people want your approval for their sartorial choices?

To be honest, it sounds a lot like you are really insecure and are projecting your insecurities onto others. This person seems quite comfortable with themselves, maybe you could learn something from them?
