BRO I did the same thing lmao- actually, funny thing is, I had no idea how to craft. Since guides were so scarce and I'm not a bright learner, I didn't know crafting existed so I'd literally punch everything and expect something useful to magically appear. Gosh, looking back at it, I was such a dummy on my first few days playing MC lmfao

During my first few days playing Minecraft, I actually had no idea what crafting was. This was maybe early to mid-2012, I can't remember but I started Minecraft I think 1.2, but I had no idea how to play MC and I was determined to not use guides and walkthroughs(though they were scarce anyways so...) but I would punch wood, grass, leaves, whatever. I'd spend ages punching stone thinking I'd run into an abandoned temple or something, anything and I remember coming across Diamonds, plentiful of Iron and Coal(bear in mind, I was around 6-7 at the time) and I'd punch EVERY ore or something different from stone that I came across. I don't think I found many if any diamonds but I did pass so much Iron and Gold and just obliterated them out of existence lmao

The Worst thing is I thought in creative mode you have to break the blocks like in survival

We've all been there. Heck, sometimes I do the opposite; in Survival, I'm so used to Efficiency IV tools and Creative mode, sometimes in a new world I'll use an Iron pick and be like, "why are you not breaking instantly?!!??!?!!!"

I used it on Redstone but learned my lesson after that

I used to play pocket edition, and I neve knew you could mine stone with wood, so I never saw diamonds until like 7 years of playing

While I'm not a Minecraft Vet, I'm not really into the newest versions. I usually play on 360 edition, which hasn't been updated since 2012. (That's MC Veteran time, but I haven't been playing that long, as I was 8 years old and had not yet heard of Minecraft). But I don't like how the nether update replaced the Pigmen with Piglins, or how the Minecart w/ Furnace was removed. (I mean come on! It was so useful! So what if there were a couple of bugs?)
