Those are pretty knives. How do you find the wood? I also hand make knifes and I have to go cut wood. Do you get logs or do you also cut trees?

Most of the time Someone I know has a tree cut down or falls from a storm and they call me.
but I also know a few land owners who let have dead fall. I'm always on the look. Some of the wood I used for these knifes the cherry and the walnut was in my firewood pile. I also enjoy visiting a few saw mills about an hour away from me, But WOW is it expensive. I also build longbows I have a friend who finds Osage for me, and we trade for bows. 😁

That's awesome. I love the mixture of woods. Ya unless you cut it yourself it can get pretty expensive.

You know you could make quite some money out of this, I'm not saying you have to, but I'm just saying that if you want to there are definitely going to be those who wants to buy custom stuff like this, sometimes even for big bucks if their really interested

I posted some knife photos on Facebook once, and now I can't keep up with the request for knifes as it is in fact I've sold everyone I've made!. I've never offered them for sale or advertised and now I have a waiting list. I refuse to automate, I custom make each one by hand.

Id always wanted to do this, Im a big fan of the show "forged in fire" and that show kinda put me over the edge.
