A lot of parents didn't do enough or right by their kids, so youth need to be looked at as individuals. There's also a misconception that schools don't teach stuff like you said. I was taught lot about money, how banks work, handling home responsibilities (like my Life Skills class, FCS, etc.). I learned cooking, proper way to wash my hands, doing taxes in high school. Many other school districts teach this and it's about time people learn to do some research and stop looking for pseudo-intellectual ways to bitch about how being in school sucked.
