for equality men got men sport, women got women sport, why dont trans get their own?

For equality today, trans men can compete against other trans men and trans women can compete against other trans women. Would that be better?

All adult trans people should compete on men's teams. Some transwomen may not like this, but this is the solution that makes the most biological sense.

As for youth sports, I honestly don't think we should have sports in public schools. They should be privately-funded community-based leagues. But as they currently stand, it should depend on when they started transitioning - if a trans girl never went through male puberty, it's fine for her to compete on the girls' teams.

It doesn't work at the community level. We tried that, and over several years trying - there always seems to be a leadership that allows volunteer coaches to cherry pick children for their teams. The result is always the same - two or three teams dominate and everyone else competes for 3rd and 4th place. There isn't any even distribution of talent - it's always concentrated.

I still don't think taxpayer money should be used to fund bread & circuses at any level. I also think having them in schools is detrimental to the self-esteem of unathletic boys. Sports aren't for everyone, and some boys are more genetically predisposed to be athletic than others. Shoving sports down all boys' throats makes unathletic boys feel defective. The parents of such boys are paying for other boys to be more popular than their sons.

Do you have a source proving what you're claiming? Because it seems to me that coaches in public schools will also do that sort of cherrypicking.

That previous reply was short - yes, I agree with you on most every point. School coaches do cherry pick - they have tryouts, and the teams are only so large...some make it, some don't. But there are other options - some athletic, some academic. Those of us who home school have precious few options to give our kids social interactions. We tried the county soccer league, and that turned out to be irreparably corrupt. Local Boy Scout groups are encouraging trans membership. So we're turning toward model aviation and robotics.

I don't think community sports leagues everywhere are THAT bad. That sounds like an issue you need to bring up with whatever recreational authority permits those leagues/coaches, or your local municipal government.

My 2 best friends growing up were brothers who were homeschooled, and they participated in the county soccer league and there were no such problems.
